KITS Kenya is a project that brings proven hands-on Leadership Training to youth in Kenya so that they may bring about desired change to improve their circumstances independently.
Kit Mikayi Mission 2011
April 2011 is the first of at least five years of implementing the KITS Youth Leadership program in Kit Mikayi, Kenya. We aim to develop at least 40 children into young leaders from Kit Mikayi and nearby farms. These young leaders should also be able to run their own Kids in the Spotlight program and continue KITS Kenya into future generations.
Youth In Kenya
The youth in Kenya comprises 70% of the country’s population. Kenya's progress and sustainability is directly linked to the active and positive involvement of its youth at the community and national levels. The resources required to educate and empower Kenya’s youth can best be obtained through international cooperation.
Canada - USA - Kenya Partnership
The Kids In The Spotlight - Kenya (KITS Kenya) is a Canada-USA-Kenya project partnering Kids In The Spotlight from Canada and the United States with Partners in Community Transformation in Kenya. Partners in Community Transformation is a grass-roots community empowerment organization. Their mission is to empower communities to address the most significant needs affecting their well being.
